Wine Advocate Always one of the top Cotes de Castillons, the 2005 Cap des Faugeres is revealing more rustic tannin than it did from barrel, but it is weighty, deep, rich effort offering a flamboyant nose of black fruits, coffee, chocolate, and toasty oak. While dense and full-bodied, the rough tannin in the finish suggests it will benefit from another year or so of bottle age; it should keep for a decade. Score: 89. April 30, 2008.-Wine Advocate

| A juicy, full-bodied red, with clean blackberry andchocolate aromas and flavors. Very fruity and well-balanced. Tempting now. Best after 2011. 6,330 cases made. Score: 89. —James Suckling, March 31, 2008 Wine Spectator

| Located in the pretty village of Sainte-Colombe, Chateau Cap de Faugeres depends on the Cotes-de-Castillon appellation, a young AOC created in 1989, and enjoys the benefits of an excellent terroir - it adjoins that of Saint-Emilion |
