“Ripe and rich, a full-bodied, generous Cabernet Sauvignon that focuses its dark-toned berry, black olive and pepper flavors beautifully. The tannins are present on the finish but can’t stop the fruit.” –Wine Spectator
“Smooth and supple, Amavi’s 2005 Cabernet includes a healthy bit of Syrah which adds details of spice and pepper to the smooth and supple cassis and black cherry fruit. Tannins are ripe and well-defined, and the wine carries subtle suggestions of olive and tea. It’s focused and bright, polished and immediately delicious though it could certainly cellar for a few years.” Wine Enthusiast

| The name Amavi(pronounced ahh-muh-vee)is a combination of the latin root words "am" (love) and "vi"(life). Amavi Cellars is a small family owned winery located in the Walla Walla Valley of Washington State. The claim to fame of this vineyard is its focus on estate-vineyard Cabernet and Syrah. On the lable is the Roman Goddess of Agriculture "Ceres" symobolizing their dedication and practice of sustainable viticulture. |
