Winter rains promised a good start to the 04/05 growing season. An excellent mild spring and summer provided an even and long ripening period, resulting
in red wines with excellent fruit flavour and richness.
Yalumba Hand Picked Mourvèdre Grenache Shiraz 2005 is deep, dark, purple ruby red in colour. A very attractive and aromatic nose offers sweet black cherry with rustic forest floor aromas, dried herbs and spices. The palate displays stylish flavours with complex fruits and spice. Quite savoury with funky complexities, finishing with fine, soft, balanced tannins.
